Opened in 2002, the boutique property in the center of Beaune became one of the town's most modern and luxurious hotels. Following an extensive renovation and the acquisition of old monastery cloisters, L'Hôtel de Beaune now features 16 rooms and suites that sit just steps away from the lively market square. Johan wanted to create a hotel that would welcome guests in the same way he would in his own home. As a chef, he also hoped to share an authentic taste of Burgundy's best food and wine, as found in the signature eatery, Le Bistro de l'Hôtel, which has become known across the region—and France—for its bon vivant spirit and quality French cuisine, including the famous Poulet de Bresse. Wine list has also 2'000 references. Next to the bistro, the Jabco Fine Wines shop has become a destination for oenophiles visiting Burgundy, thanks to its carefully curated selection of bottles.
