This city hotel is situated in an old colony in the historic city centre. The hotel was built in the 17th Century and later fully restored by the state government and the Bureau for the Preservation of Colonial Buildings. Therefore the original appearance of the terraces, corridors, balconies and staircase was preserved where possible. The hotel comprises 2 floors with 53 large suites and offers a range of facilities, ideal for banqueting and conferences, but also suited to community gatherings. The restaurant El Mesonero is widely accepted to be the best restaurant in town and offers its patrons a carefully selected international menu in a stylish atmosphere. Among the facilities provided to hotel guests are a 24-hour reception desk, a hotel safe, a currency exchange counter, a cloakroom, a café, a terrace, a bar, public Internet access and laundry and room services. There is both a garage and parking spaces for those arriving by car. The suites are colourful and furbished in traditional Mexican colonial style.
