Beautifully restored Tulloch Castle dates back to the 12th century; Mary Queen of Scots and many other rich and famous guests have stayed in this imposing fortress. Its elevated position proudly guards over the colourful market town of Dingwall just 15 miles north of Inverness, and the views of the surrounding area are magnificent. Many of the ancient castle features still exist including the dungeons and the original mantelpiece with its roaring open fire. One of the Highlands' top chefs skilfully prepares fresh local produce that is served in the exquisite restaurant. For those who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere then retreat to the Green Lady bar for a drink or home-cooked bar meal - available throughout the day. The bedchambers, most furnished in a traditional style to befit a castle, are spacious, comfortable, full of character and all come with private facilities, TV and tea and coffee station.
