Located in the heart of Kiel, near the magnificent gardens of Kiel Castle and close to the harbour, this fine hotel offers an elegant, warm and restful ambiance. The establishment is situated within walking distance from business, cultural and shopping areas, offering an ideal base from where to explore the city. Guests may choose between different accommodation types, all featuring a charming decoration with modern furniture and useful comforts such as free Wi-Fi, a work desk and a flat-screen TV. The property offers two restaurants and a cosy bar, where travellers can sample delicious regional and international specialties as well as exotic cocktails. On those sunny days, visitors may take advantage of the beautiful summer terrace, while sipping a refreshing drink or biting on a delicious homemade cake. Those more active guests can make use of the well-equipped fitness room and after a tough workout, relax in the Finnish sauna. Spa and gym area in the hotel will be closed due to Covid 19 until further notice *EVERYTHING CHANGES, BUT NOTHING GOES DOWN. *(Ovid, Roman epicist) After more than 35 years, it's time for a change. That's why we're starting a major renovation of our hotel in November 2019 and will be giving it a modern, new look by the end of August 2020. Of course, our guests can rely on the usual hospitality during the entire renovation work. The satisfaction of our guests always has the highest priority for us and of course all work is planned in such a way that an immediate impairment of the guests can be minimized as far as possible. However, we would like to point out that noise nuisance cannot always be avoided even with the most careful planning. Also, certain areas of the hotel - such as the lobby, bar or restaurant - will temporarily be inaccessible and unusable due to the renovation. Here we already have appropriate alternatives in the planning stage.
